Wow!

I'm still light-headed from 'The Man Behind the Curtain.' That was great-show greatness!

Brian K. Vaughan (the comic writer brought in for story development on the show) is really helping make this season a knockout. I can't remember a show with so many home-run episodes in one season.

Here's what I noticed or wondered about:

• What happened to Ben's friend Annie?
• What's with Annie's dolls?
• The deadly fence seemingly can be set to "stun"
• There are white rabbits on the island ('Alice in Wonderland'?)
• The dark sand in, and around, Jacob's cabin... could it be the smokey nano-bots/monster in sleeping state?
• Could smokey/monster be Jacob?

Really the only thing I'm still really worried about is:

Who built that four-toed foot statue-thing?

I think the black stuff in front of Jacobs "house" is dynamite. I think this because when Locke locked Sawyer in the haul of the Black Rock Rousso came in and got dynamite. But I dont know why she put it there unless she knew about Jacob or that they would eventually go there.

Doug note: OOOOOH! Good call!

"You do remember birthdays don't you Richard" -- Ben says to Richard...I think that pretty much seals the fact that Richard isn't aging anymore....why would you even bother counting birthdays if you aren't growing older?

I wonder, what could Annie's last name be? . . .
I'm thinking Rousseau. Ben cared for Annie and didn't want the Others to know he didn't really kill "everyone", so he told her to go into hiding and assume a false identity. Also interesting: like the real-life John Locke, the real-life Rousseau was also a philosopher. I also found on wikipedia that the name "Linus" was a popular cognomen - defined by them as a third name - used by the Romans. So, I wonder, is Ben really Ben's middle name, then? And, if so, what is his real first name?
