LOOK AT WHAT (THE LOST EXPERIENCE THE GAME)
SAID

The Lost Experience the Extended Edition?
File this under, hey I should have known that...

With Season Three barely started, ABCMarketing is already thinking ahead for next summer. Not only will there be a sequel (duh) to finish telling the story (hopefully they keep 'Rachel' away from the ludes this time around) but there are also plans to include a faux documentary of what happened with this LOST experience on the LOST Season Three DVD box set.

Now your saying what I said, that'll be like September... so it won't help to indoctrinate new gamers for the summer, right?

Well, there is a slim possibility that the Documentary will first premiere on the LOST Season One HD-DVD set which is expected to be announced any day. Apparently everything was shot on HD cameras, so the set will include an upgraded print of Rachel's shinaneghans. (Hey VHS would be better than the cruddy flash video they used for the "final" scene.)

Is adding an extended recap of the Lost Experience in HD going to value or devalue such a set? You tell me.

10) Frustrating Plot points. Are they ever going to bring us back to last season’s finale with Penny and the revelation that they had found “him”? We had one glimpse of the outside world and now nothing?

OK HERE IT IS. I FOUND A LITTLE CLIP OF Penny TO THE RESCUE I THINK? BUT NO SOUND
Leaked Season 3 Footage

Brandon says....

... TV Guide's Michael Ausiello reports that someone dies in next week's episode (see post below).

Brandon thinks Charlie.

I was thinking Sun or Jin (in retaliation for Colleen's death).

(note from Johna: Doug...I heard that it was Eko...he apparently moved from Hawaii a few weeks ago and isn't on the cast list anymore - I saw that on another blog)

Comments

Hi

In Locke's vision, Boone said all the people are safe, for example, Claire, Aaron and Charlie(at the short term at least) and that Eko was in danger... Maybe that means Eko is gonna die. That would be sad...I like Eko.

Hugs!

i do not no how ture this is but this is what i found (with pictures to)

Massive Spoilery NEWS - KAte is dead!!
My Secret MOLE has sent me MORE info on the BIG cliffhanging THING for the end of SEASON 3 episode six!! KATE sacrifices HERSELF to save sawyer!! She IS killed!!

This IS a world EXLSUIVE!! This iS how Bob Woodwind and Karl Beerstain MUST have felt when THEY undercovered Richard Dixon at THE Waterygates sandle!!

Every Man For Himself

1) We know there are two islands. There is nowhere to run.

2) We may have learned that Ben isn’t really in charge? Juliet says she doesn’t answer to him,but then she listens to him anyway when he comes to get her to help Colleen. I think it might just be a setup. However, we know that Colleen was shot…Sun shot her…that wasn’t fake. Jack says she was dead before they started working on her. Maybe she really was dead already and once she died, they enacted their scheme – unplanned certainly because they didn’t know she would be shot, but they certainly had plenty of time to stage the spinal x-rays and Jack might have figured it out. He certainly would have known if she was already dead – her blood wouldn’t have been pumping. Then again, he might have just been using that as a figure of speech.

3) Desmond appears to be psychic. Desmond certainly knew it was going to rain. he constructed his lightning rod in the area of Claire’s hut because he knew lightning was going to strike her hut. Psychics keep connecting with Claire…a psychic led her to get on the plane in the first place.

4) Juliet is a fertility doctor. Oh, this is good…this is really good. I was wondering if she is a fertility doctor for humans or if she is an animal fertility doctor? After all, they are basically holding the Losties hostage in a zoo. This lends itself to some of those Island of Dr. Moreau theories that are floating around out there. But, I don’t think that is what is going on…just something the writers threw in there for fun.

5) Sawyer has a daughter. I am guessing that he doesn’t have a daughter named Clementine. I have a feeling he has been conned. I am certain that as we go along in the flashbacks we will find him discovering that there is no daughter and that is probably why he is having a hard time letting Kate love him. “You work so hard to make her think you don’t care”

6) The only thing we put in you was doubt… “the only way to gain a con mans respect is to con him”. Why would they want his respect? Interesting.

7) Of Mice and Men. I hate to reveal this, but I don't think I have ever read this book and if I did, I don't remember it. So, consulting a few cliff notes on the net I have this for you: "George, who points Curley and the other men in the wrong direction, finds Lennie in the brush where he told him to go at the beginning of the novel. Lennie has been having hallucinations of a giant rabbit and his Aunt Clara; they warn Lennie that George will be angry at him for killing Curley's Wife ...." and of course there is a lot more....but there's the rabbit connection!

8) Something weird about Hurley and Desmond. We know Desmond is real and isn’t just in Hurley’s imagination…other characters have interacted with him. But there seems to be some connection here…like twins or something. I haven’t got a handle on it yet, but it is stewing in my brain. Any thoughts on that one?

9) Ben is the creepiest guy ever. Really to me, Ben just seems afraid. I don’t think he is calling all the shots….someone else is telling him what to do. Ben always says, we aren’t the bad guys and this seems like it might be true. I keep waiting for something to reveal that they really aren’t the bad guys.

10) Frustrating Plot points. Are they ever going to bring us back to last season’s finale with Penny and the revelation that they had found “him”? We had one glimpse of the outside world and now nothing? Ugh. Are we ever going to see a monster again and be told what that monster might be? Ugh.

11) Next week. What the heck was that in the monitor? It is a man, not an alien, with an eye patch. Probably the owner of that eye back in one of the old hatches. Also, who is that new girl in the promo? I looked on IMDB for the cast, but didn’t find her. Anyone know?

I'm late.... Further Instructions

Sorry for the late posting, I'm really busy!!

Things we notice about last night's episode (Further Instructions):

• Locke's birthday didn't match on his drivers' license and his gun permit. A mistake or for a reason? FYI: May 1956 vs. November 1946.

• Rumors this season said that someone in the hatch would gain a "superpower"... looks like Desmond can see into the future.

• Who does the Tonka truck in the bear's cave belong to?

• We're introduced to Paulo and Nikki on the beach. They stuck out like a sore thumb.

• Did Locke kill Eddie? Did you notice Eddie's employee number was 84023?

• Is Locke a hunter or a farmer? You tell me.

• Boone re-visits.

I wasn't impressed by much of this episode. Locke's pot farm story was left hanging and there weren't any jaw dropping moments. I already miss last week's episode.

Three more to go.

Comments

Do you think Desmond is alive or is Hurley just seeing things again?

Doug note: WOW! Good point. Did anyone else repond/talk to Desmond besides Hurley?

ya, but didn't Locke see him at the beginning of the episode?

Locke saw him when he woke up in the bushes. He saw Dezzi running nekki through the tree-ees!

Yeah, Locke noticed him running in the jungle when he first woke up.

Oh this is so unfair. I thinkI'm going to have to emigrate.

just wanted to point out that the man that "ran" locke's pot farm looks to be the same man as Tom in the others...did anyone else notice this??

Ben Linus

Ben's, formerly Henry's, last name is Linus.

Here's a name-definition quote from the LOST boards on oceanicflight815.com:

Linus - Son of Apollo and Psamathe, whose father was the King of Argos. She feared her father and gave the infant Linus to shepherds to raise. He was torn apart by dogs after reaching adulthood and Psamathe was killed by her father, for which Apollo sent a child-killing plague to Argos.
Apollo was the archer-god of medicine and healing and also a bringer of death-dealing plague. He was also a twin. He also had the ability of foresight into the future.

Ellen: Also, there's Linus from Peanuts... has anyone seen Ben with a blankie?

Comments

Another descrip: Linus, in Greek mythology. 1 Son of Apollo and Psamathe of Argos. He was deserted by his mother on a hillside and devoured by dogs. When Psamathe's father learned what his daughter had done, he had her killed. For this double outrage, Apollo cursed Argos with a plague for which there could be no release until Psamathe and Linus were propitiated with prayers and songs of lamentation. The "Linus song," a lament derived from this legend, was sung at harvest time as a dirge for the dying vegetation.

The Glass Ballerina

Wow, awesome episode last night!

Here are key things for me:

• The Ferry landing. It's not just a boat dock, it's for a ferry. To and from where?
• Jae's the father of Sun's baby. Yes? No?
• Did Jae commit suicide or was he pushed?
• Did Sun really kill the Other girl on the boat? What's the retaliation for her doing that?
• What's with all the new characters?
• Why was Sawyer (James) so interested in the Other's father and daughter. Will he use that info to his advantage (you know he will).
• Ben has been on the island his whole life.
• Why are the Others using Kate and Sawyer to dig? It seems more than just rock busting. Is there something in the ground?
• Lies seemed to be the theme of this episode.
• Next week Hurley and Locke are back! Yea!

Doug addition: Chris cleared up my thoughts about "The Glass Ballerina."

I had forgotten about Danny (not Daddy) last year... good job Chris, I stand corrected!

Comments

hihi, new here, just a couple things...

1) we saw the "Pala Ferry" sign in S2 finale.

2) who knows :P

3) see #2

4) spoilerish (see the description for S3x04)

5) Colleen was the only new character introduced last night

6) Collen said "Danny", not daddy. We met Danny last year, he was urinating in the jungle when Michael came upon him.

7) A child of Dharma? Most of the Others we've seen are too young to have been part of the early 1980s scientists.

8) I believe they (the Others) are breaking down Sawyer and Kate mentally and physically, the manual labor accelerates that. They want to use one against the other, much like Sayid was planning to do if the ambush went as planned.

9) Agreed

10) see #9 :P

Ben Linus said something interesting last night..."I" will take you home.

I think the others are ready to leave and enter the world using Jack, Kate and Sawyer as entry points to the world to spread their version of a Utopian society...that means Jack (the Doctor), Kate (Kid of a Military Recruiter) and Sawyer (Contacts to the Criminal Underground) are chosen for a specific reason. They aren't interested in them for their gifts rather their background.

(BTW...LMFAO during the whole "Boston Redsox win the series bit)

for the ferry name - go look at the reference to it in the works of aldous huxley

Why Sawyer, Kate, and the good doctor? Remember in another episode where the others had some type of "bet" that they could reform Ana Lucia's character? I think that's why they picked those three. Kate & Sawyer are the only two of the losties who have killed yet haven't killed an other. Jack has all those same feelings of guilt and hate, especially when it comes to his father, but I don't think he's intentionally killed which may be why he isn't in a cage and isn't doing manual labor - more psychology and trust with him than a tearing down and trying to rebuild character like with Sawyer & Kate. Basic psychology states that the only way to change someone values and morals once they reach a certain age is through a traumatic event. How much more traumatic could the others make it than placing kate & sawyer in cages and forcing them to do hard labor. Plus it seems like the others are trying to nudge Kate & Sawyer together, make them bond which would also help in any quest they may have to "reform" them.

Much better than the premiere

I was absolutely glued to the television last night. I had low expectations for the second show of the season based on where we left off in the premiere, but I was so wrong. I was riveted.

We found out a lot of interesting things last night: 1) Benjamin's last name which Doug tells me he is hearing is significant 2) he has lived on the island his entire life!!! 2) They have contacts with the outside world and kind of proved it by showing Jack the telecast of the Boston Red Sox.

I called Doug after the show to discuss a few other aspects although I still believe there probably is not one single theory that fits.....but many, many theories that weave through the story. Ben told Jack he wanted him to change his perspective...or attitude -that slip could mean something, everything seems to mean something. It feels sort of like this is "Intervention Island" and that the others are obviously trying to change the Losties by any means possible. Ben also told him that if he cooperated, they would send him home like Walt and Michael. This might be true. Michael spent time with the others, came back and killed Ana-Lucia and Libby. Walt spent time with them and I'm not sure we know what he did, but possibly he lured Michael into the others' trap. They sailed away.

Remember how all of the hatch happenings appear to have been simple experiments where one set of people watched another set of people do tasks that meant nothing? I have a little theory that Ben and his crew are still going through this same never-ending set of experiments. They keep getting a set of new instructions which bumps them up to a new experiment where they think they are in charge and the only way off the island is to keep doing them. The Losties were in phase 1 and I think they are about to enter phase 2. I bet they end pitting Locke and friends against Jack and friends. Or, not!! Who knows?

I have had to watch that last 10 minutes three times now just to see if I missed any other nuggets. Let's hear all the stuff you discovered last night...I am sure I missed a ton.

Comments

A few questions I have about the first two episodes:

Ep1 - the book club, an earthquake (caused by the station when the numbers were not entered?) and they knew a plane was coming - notice the current book they were reading? A S. King book.

Ep1 - their camp/home was very developed - and no one saw this out of the window of the plane going down?

Ep1 - was Kate tortured? When getting back to her cell the skin around her wrists were scraped raw and bloody - what do the Others have planned for the "next couple weeks"?

Ep2 - in the Others area - the monitors where they were listening to Kate and Sawyer - what was on the other screens? Other hatches? I couldn't tell what was on them but looks like a command post

Ep2 - why do they hate the Losties? I don't understand the agression the Others show towards the Losties - why treat them like animals? What is there to gain? Why not just kill them?

Ep2 - Is Sun's baby going to be part of the experiments?

Ep2 - The Others have limited guns - why? They seem to be able to get everything they want from some "Main Land"

Ep2 - Does anyone believe they can get people home? After all, the Others WANTED that boat and I doubt it's just to stop the Losties from finding them

Walt back?

IMDB.com is showing that Walt is back for episode #3?

Weirdness. They've been wrong in the past.

BTW, prize winners, I won't be able to ship prizes until the end of the month, so be patient!!

Mack Thompson Law

Mack Thompson Sues The Hanso Foundation! Mack is proud to finally notify the public that he has formally filed suit againt The Hanso Foundation following the foundation's acquisition of Oceanic Airlines. The lawsuit has been filed against the HansoAir subdivision in the State of California. This lawsuit is the culmination of several years of suspicion surrounding the activities at The Hanso Foundation.

Mack Thompson Law finds this case very important to the people and will release any information we can to the public as it is available. At this time the courts have limited the information that will be released to the public. This is the result of the legal team at Hanso and our legal team will fight this decision. We can release the following information.

On September 29, 2006, our legal team filed a civil suit against a subsidiary of The Hanso Foundation, HansoAir, in the Second District Appellate Court of California. Proceedings will take place in Division Three courts in Los Angeles. You may recall that Los Angeles was to be the destination of Oceanic Airlines Flight 815, a jet liner utilizing a test version of the Artificial Intelligence Piloting System (AIPS) supplied by The hanso Foundation.

Shortly after Oceanic Airlines went backrupt the company was bought out by The Hanso Foundation. Oceanic Airlines and its employees avoided Chapter 11 bankruptcy with the acquisition but many employees found themselves unemployed when the dust settled. Mack Thompson Law has made a connection between each employee terminated and the events surrounding the crash of Flight 815. The allegation put forth is that HansoAir wrongfully terminated over 200 employees due to their possible knowledge of illegal, immoral, and unethical activities committed by The Hanso Foundation.

The Boat: so close... but someone is getting it.

We almost had enough boat comments. 34 to be exact.

Thats 16 less than needed.

So, let's see, the 16th person to post was Todd Sanders.

Todd said "give it to Alison" (S).

Todd's unselfish behavior is very "LOST-like" dramatic and impressive.

• So Alison S gets the boat and Todd Sanders gets... a boat too (yeah, I had two of 'em).

• Mandy gets the Promo Pack. I was touched by her sad story, but mostly because she's local and can pick her prize up at the station. :)

• Gutsch gets a LOST travel pillow and a "The Nine" vault bank. Gutsch tried to drive traffic by posting to other sites. We love free publicity. Great effort!

• Britt gets a Grey's Anatomy syringe. Britt really wanted a syringe. Should we be worried?

• Joshzele also gets a LOST travel pillow. Thanks for the nice note.

• Luke wanted a Six Degrees shirt and he gets it, because no one else wants it.

If your name is listed above, send your mailing addresses to the comments field. Use the SAME email address you used when you posted. ADD: "DO NOT POST" to the top of your comment.

I will round up some more freebees to give away. Were those more boats that I saw in the promotions closet??? HMMMM.

Season 3 opener: I liked it... kinda

I liked it.

I'm a little sad that the reason for everyone being on the island really seems like an accident.

Johna's theory was that everyone was "recruited" to be on LOST island. I loved that theory and it seems like there is tons of evidence to support it.

This episode also makes the mystery of the criss-crossing story lines even more mysterious.

I'm still LOST.

Comments

I still think they were somehow recruited. If you think about it they are also all a little nutty.

Hurley was in a mental institution. Jack was obviously having some sort of break regarding his wife and dad. Kate is possibly some sort of sociopath, Sayid tortured people in his past which has to make you a little crazy, Sawyer had a terrible experience as a child....

Which leads to other kinds of theories as well of course!!!

Juliet

I just found out that "Juliet" - actress Elizabeth Mitchell is from Dallas. A coworker here is friends with her younger sister who still lives here in Dallas. The sister and my friend watched Lost together last night and then they talked to her after the show, but she wouldn't even tell her sister what's going on!

From IMDB: was born in Los Angeles in 1970. Shortly after her birth her parents moved to Dallas, Texas. She graduated from Booker T Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts located in the Arts District of downtown Dallas. Later she earned a BFA degree in Acting from Stephens College and also studied at the British American Drama Academy. Additionally, she spent six years at the respected Dallas Theatre Center and one year with that theater's Encore Company. Before her big screen debut she started her acting carrier from theaters. Her theatrical stage credits include productions of "As You Like It," "A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum," "Measure for Measure," "Baby" and "Chicago," among many others.

And by the way, she was Angelina Jolie's lover in "Gia". If you remember that movie.

Lost premiere

Okay, so ABC was right - the first 5-minutes were incredible...I loved, loved, loved it. But then....BORING! I can see now that the next few "mini-series" episodes will all be within the confines of well, the confines of the "others" realm. And despite what the writers keep saying about this not being purgatory...I gotta say they are sure making it look a little that way. Wouldn't you say that new character and Jack's inquisitor seem a bit like an angel? She knows..they know...everything about him and his family. But, to be my own devil's advocate, this also goes to the theory of experiments gone awry....and Ben (Fenry) is the leader of these crazy experiments. So either they are in some sort of purgatory, or they have some sort of connection to the real world still since they have all kinds of records about everyone. I just hope we don't have to sit through a lot of "this is your life" questioning by the others.....I want to see some monsters!

Comments

I don't think they're in purgatory and I'll tell you why. So far the show is completely unpredictable in that it follows no real plot or logic. So they're in a giant zoo. So they're in cages that really reminded me of Plaent of the Apes. So one of em is underground. From here, they can write FOREVER and we'd never be able to guess what's next. I love the show but I don't believe they know where it's going. I think we're being strung along. We can theorize all we want but it's an organic process just like the game is. It's all about creating the illusion that one of us will figure it out. But it won't happen. There is no spoon.

I think you are right thebaronessa....they are just piecing all kinds of theories together, but not one of them is the actual answer. The premise might be purgatory, redemption, forgiveness, etc...but really it's not any of those as a whole. Dang writers!

i read somewhere and am starting to agree that kate is an ‘other’
she was captured and turned last season. we know she is desperate in many ways to hide her past and such…
this is why benry at breakfast said the next two weeks would be hell, not becasue he dislikes her and is going to torture her but because he likes her and is sad about that fact he is going to have to torture her in order to get things out of the other survivors.. this will also explain why they know so much about jack and other survivors and could also explain why she didnt seem to be too phased when put in the cage across from sawyer with the scratches and such.

ok trying to get more post so we can get that 50 over at insidetheexperience.com.

Want a cool LOST souvenir? How about a boat!

Boat winner, this Friday

I will announce the boat winner this Friday. So there is still a chance to impress me :)

October 3, 2006

28 Boat Posts?!? We need 50!! Oh, and season 3 starts tomorrow.

OK, I said in order for me to give away the ultra-cool LOST boat I need 50 reasons from users why they deserve to have the boat. I have 28 responses and less than 24 hours to go.

Call you mom, call your friends, bring just 22 more posts!

(Sorry for all the begging)

Now, for the good news: Season 3 starts tomorrow! I have already read a ton of reviews from the people that were lucky enough to be at the Hawaii screening. I can't wait. We're having a LOST party at a co-workers house.

So is everyone up for this blog converting to a LOST show blog?? It's going to be rough going after the first 6 episodes.

So, what do you think?

Comments

Sounds good to me. It's only just ended here in the Uk and I'm already suffering withdrawal.
Just one thing tho, if there's another game, will you convert it back for it?

Bring it on!!!
