May 8
Most everyone deciphering the persephone numbers are NOW in agreement that May 8 is the day that Persephone will have new messages on the Hanso site.
I'm hoping this means that the game will allow us to have our future weekends off :)

Hey, is this new (I'm not sure I'm up to speed)?
Go to:
http://emri.perception.net/hanso/activeproject.html
...and select "Life Extension Projects"
There's a link embedded in the final sentence of the press release.
What d'ya think?
(Can someone else who knows more about scripting than I do dig into the source code?)
Namaste!
;)

Is THIS new?
110, 101, 103, 97, 104, 110, 101, 112, 111, 67|102, 105, 103, 46, 111, 104, 119, 95, 114, 116, 108, 47, 115, 101, 103, 97, 109, 105
I still haven't figured out how to decode these. Help?

Hey, Lazarus. I wouldn't get too invested in anything on that perception.net site, as I don't think it's a true in-game site. I think it's just part of the fan-originating clutter out there distracting us. Did the numbers you have there come from that site, too?

Hmmmm...
That's disappointing. Garbage in, garbage out. *sigh* Thanks, Ellen.
And yes, that number string was in the source code.

FWIW, the way people are translating those numbers is to start by converting them to ASCII characters (you can find a conversion table here:
http://web.cs.mun.ca/~michael/c/ascii-table.html
or just Google "ASCII table" and you'll find a bunch). The string you posted translates to:
negahnepoC|fig. ohw_rtl/segami
Reverse that and you get:
images\ltr_who.gif | Copenhagen
Seems to be referencing an image on their server.

Thanks Ellen. I am humbled. Wish I'd done more digging before posting here. Clearly I am a slow learner....

Not at all, Lazarus. We're all just figuring this out as we go, and I got all that info on decoding from other players (numbers aren't really my "thing") :-) We all just join in and help where we can, usually with lots of wild speculation. Keep throwing stuff out there!

You are most generous, Ellen, as always....
So let me ask a dumb question:
When we all talk about "loggin in", what (or where) are we referring to?

>> "When we all talk about "loggin in", what (or where) are we referring to?"
Well, that's a good question. We're not sure. We have been able to successfully "log in" on the newsletter page of the Hanso site (www.thehansofoundation.org) -- meaning, putting in info on that page got us in touch with Persephone. But while we have identified several other places to log in on the site, we haven't been able to do so successfully -- we don't have the right login info yet, presumably. So that's what we're waiting for now -- more clues!

interestingly enough, the perception site has a walt disney (ABC) site terms of use tag on it. That would be very bold of someone to put that up - considering that might just irritate disney (ABC). Just a thought.
