Here's something new for you- I found some literary and movie references on two of the Board of Directors names.
Example 1: Lawrence Peck, which I surmise is derived from Gregory Peck and Sir Lawrence Olivier. Both starred in the movie, "The Boys From Brazil" which was about a secret cloning operation that was cloning Hitler, with the results being several copies of him as a young boy.
Since one of the Initiatives of the Hanso Foundation was genetic research, can we surmise that the Others need the children for such testing and/or cloning of the Hanso Team of researchers or whatever?
The other Example is Dick Cheever. His name I believe to be derived from author John Cheever and the classic novel, "Moby Dick". Cheever also wrote a novel that was placed in a nautical setting. The book has been compared to Melville's novel over the years.
Perhaps when you combine these two possible themes, you can possibly get a cloning operation involving children in a maritime setting. Maybe this is what the Losties have fallen into?

One of the airports listed for arrivals on the Oceanic site is JJA, maybe that has some connection to the Widmore Corps (Jeffrey J. Arminian). There is a login for the Sparta project that needs a name and password, maybe this is a clue?
Also, two pictures of Widmore Corps board members, one being Locks supposed Father (Anthony B.Cooper)and the other being, Donald E. Filmon, are conveniently placed in the same vertical row. Its their combined initials that create, ABCDEF or DEFABC,however you prefer. It could be just a coincidence but it caught my eye.

Joop is also called experiment 626 which is also the code name for Stitch from the Disney movie Lilo and Stitch. He was created to be a "world destroyer." It probably isn't relevant, but it caught my eye.

The login information for the sparta project is username "Venus" and password "lacedaemon"
I don't know if the widmoregroup website is official or not, but if it is there are a lot of clues there.
